Jump Out!

We are rapidly approaching the arrival of our little one! Okay, so maybe 7 weeks is still a long time, but hey, Jackson was a whole week early. Anyways, we have been talking a lot more about baby Tyler coming so that Jackson can start getting used to the idea of having a little brother. We weren't too sure how much he was understanding until this conversation occurred the other day:

I was talking to him about baby Tyler coming as he sat on my lap looking at my belly. He got really excited and said, "baby Tyler jump out!". (He says jump with an a at the end which is funny, so it really sounded like jumpa out!) So I asked, "Where is Tyler going to jump out?" At first he looked at me and said, "mouth", but that didn't seem right apparently because he quickly corrected himself and proceeded to tell me, "No, belly button! Baby Tyler jumpa out belly button!" I was pretty much shocked that my 1 year old came up with this idea, and because he was close enough, I went with it. I told him baby Tyler wasn't ready to come out yet, so then he added "minute, baby Tyler jumpa out belly button, minute!". So now whenever we talk about baby Tyler or he sees my belly, Jackson tells us that baby Tyler is going to jump out of my belly button in a minute. You are so funny kiddo!
