We are still alive!

Wow am I behind or what!  Sorry to anyone who still bothers checking my blog but here comes a massive catch-up post!  Lots has happened in the last 2 months.  Jackson is now 7 months old!  He has 2 teeth, army crawls (he isn't on his knees yet), dances, babbles, and is starting to pull himself up.  So if you are wondering where I have been, the answer is playing with a very fun, wild, wiggly little boy:)  I adore this kid; Heavenly Father knew what he was doing sending me this little guy.  He is just the perfect fit in our little family:)  Anyway, here is some of what we've been up to...

6 Month photo session!  My friend Libby took these amazing photos of Jackson.  There are tons more cute ones, wish I could post them all!  I just love this kid's bright blue eyes.  He was in the 95% for height and 75% for weight at his 6 month visit.  Weighing in at 19 lbs made him heavier than my friends 18 month old heehee!  I am happy to see him growing so well:)

(Apparently Jackson is now concerned about hat hair, he won't keep it on anymore!)
(Trying to play gently)
(Yum!)
We've been going on walks and playing at the park....

Playing at the pool...

(He LOVES to jump and always sticks his tongue out while doing so.)
(My guess is he is thinking, "That was fun, now what?")

(He was having so much fun playing with the different textures of his food so I gave him a big scoop of cool whip to play in, so messy yet just so fun!)
(No, he is NOT wearing lipstick, just some fruit smoothie:))

Enjoying our food (notice the progression? I used to keep him all clean but soon learned to give up and have fun)....

Doing LOTS of laundry...

(I walked down the hallway one day to find this peeking out at me during naptime, it was too funny.)
And with all of this hard work, we make sure to get some R&R.  Jordan and I love watching Jackson sleep; he is just so angelic.  We are so bad that sometimes at night we wake him up and then we have to hurry and duck behind his crib so he won't see us and want to get up.  Of course we are always holding back our laughter as we watch poor Jackson still half asleep with his eyes wide open wondering what is going on!

We've also been able to have some visitors recently!  Mom & Dad Thompson came in April and we went to Gettysburgh, Lancaster, Hershey, and toured around Pittsburgh.  It was so much fun, we miss them!  Jackson LOVES his Grandma & Grandpa:)

This was a "Ducky Tour" that we went on.  The car actually drives into the river and becomes a boat, it was pretty cool.

My father-in-law is so sweet!  Lee thought it would be fun for me to have a little garden so he got me all of the stuff to get it going.  I have cucumber, tomato, red/green bell pepper, and strawberry plants.  They have grown a ton!

My sister and her family also came for a quick visit.  We went downtown to this cool waterfall that is chlorinated and meant to be played in.  We started by letting Jackson dip his feet in but that was not enough for this water loving little guy so we ended up stripping him to a onesie and letting him get soaked.  He had a blast!  And of course, when his nephews saw him sitting in the water they thought it was ok for them to do it also, not realizing that unlike Jackson, they didn't have extra clothes to change into:)

Isn't her pregnant belly cute!  I LOVE pregnant bellies.  Just looking at her made me want to get pregnant again.

And to end (as if this isn't long enough already) we have been getting lots of love from our sweet little boy.  He is quite the enthusiastic kisser.  He will grab your hair and pull you in as he attacks your face so that even if you wanted to you couldn't get away.  Halle better watch out when they get older!  (Halle is Jackson's girlfriend in UT)

Oh yea, and Jordan finished his first semester of school, woohoo!  He did so well, I am very proud of him:)  I have also been running a lot since we made it into the marathon, I did my first double digit run a few weeks ago (10 miler) and have now started my official training program.

You should check out McConnell's Mill. It's a state park about an hour north of Pittsburgh, and although I've never been, it's supposed to be beautiful. That's my next adventure. I'm amazed at all the outdoor stuff you do!
