Baby Tyler

Tyler Rush Thompson was born July 25th at 7:13am, a whole 2 1/2 weeks early! He weighed in at 6lbs 10oz and was 19in long. We are so happy to finally have baby Tyler here and thankful that he is strong, healthy, & beautiful! I could snuggle this little guy all day and night!

We aren't sure who he looks like, neither of us really, though every day he is looking more and more like Jackson as a newborn. Except for all of that dark hair!

Tiny little Tyler, this is the only outfit I had that fit him! We were given this as a baby gift when Jackson was born but he was way too big for it, the pants only went half way up his thighs!

Jackson loves his baby brother and is so sweet with him! He always asks to hold baby Tyler and is constantly giving him hugs and kisses. He loves helping in any way he can-throwing away diapers, getting clothes, he even has asked to help feed him:) Here is the proud big brother checking out the new baby, he insisted on making sure Tyler had 2 ears, 2 eyes, etc.

It's crazy to me that we are a family of 4 now! I feel so very blessed to have these 3 boys!

Everything went great with the labor & delivery. I somehow knew this little guy was coming early and had everything ready, the house cleaned, etc. My contractions started Saturday night around 9:30 but I waited as long as I could at home before heading to the hospital at 3am with contractions only 3 minutes apart. I wanted to make sure I wasn't waking up my friend Maretta to come stay with Jackson if it was only false labor or I wasn't ready to be admitted! Lucky for me I was already dilated to 5cm when I got there and then to 8cm a few minutes later when the doctor arrived- I must say it was much easier the 2nd time around, maybe because I knew what to expect. So by 4am I was asked if I wanted to start pushing or get my epidural, I opted for the epidural:) In hindsight I wish I had just started to push though since my epidural wasn't working in one spot and wore off by the time I started pushing so that I felt all of the contractions. I can't complain though, 4 pushes and out he came! I love you so much little Tyler!
