August 12th

Today is my due date. Crazy, since little Tyler is almost 3 weeks old already and we are pretty much adjusted to life as a family of 4. Tyler has been such an easy baby, sleeps great- at first I had to set my alarm to wake him up to eat!, eats great, barely ever cries, and puts up with lots & lots of kisses from an excited big brother. He had his 2 week appointment on Tuesday and we were all shocked to see how much he has grown! He is in the 50% for both weight and height, weighing in at 8lbs 1oz and measuring 20in long (remember he only weighed 6lbs 10oz at birth and doctors are happy just to see them gain their birth weight back by 2 weeks)! Even the doctor was surprised and praised our nursing abilities.

While I am so happy to see my little guy growing so well, it kills me that he is getting so big so fast. Can't you stay a newborn forever??? It also kills me to see how big Jackson is compared to Tyler, he is definitely not a baby anymore. I just keep thinking about how fast time has flown by and wish I could slow it all down. Granted my hormones are still a bit wacky, but I can't even think about these 2 kids growing up without breaking out into sobs. So basically my life lesson these past 2 weeks has been to enjoy every little moment- even the tantrums, the endless diaper changes, and the night time feedings because it is all going by way too fast:(

I love the ones of my boys together even though they were both uncooperative and hard to shoot, thanks Maretta for your patience in getting some great shots!
