December: Part 1

Wow what a great month! We had 3 birthday parties, 3 Christmas celebrations, spent 3 weeks in Utah, and I hosted 2 different baby showers! It was pretty busy, but really fun!

Santa came early to the Thompson residence since he knew we would be in Utah Christmas day. We had so much fun celebrating with Jackson! I loved that he understood so much this year and got really excited about Santa coming. He kept talking about the motorcycle that Santa was going to bring him! I was also so happy to see Jackson understanding the meaning of Christmas. He loved talking about the birth of Jesus and playing with his nativity set... even if he did use the pieces as bowling pins and ran them over with his cars:( Anyways, Jordan and I had a blast setting up Christmas for the kids and watching them open presents.

Our next Christmas celebration was in Ephraim with the Thompson family. We had the traditional Christmas program where all of the kids take turns doing a part. Jackson got up in front of everyone and sang Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. I was shocked that he actually did it! We also acted out the live nativity and had Ty be baby Jesus:) Then we got a surprise visit from Santa! The kids loved it!
The next day we had family pictures so Jordan finally shaved off his ridiculous mustache that he'd grown as a joke on Gwen & Phyllis. Can't say I miss it!
Then we opened presents and went to a live nativity that night.
We got a big snow storm while we were in Ephraim which made for a very nice snow cave!
We were excited to take Ty swimming for the first time since we don't have a place to go to at home in the winter. He didn't cry or get upset at all, though he wasn't all that excited either. Jackson, of course, loved it!
