April Fools

I am bored. Tyler is taking an extra long morning nap. Jackson is in his room reading books. I tried to go read with him but he seemed a little annoyed and asked me to leave. Hmm. I guess I can't complain that the kid likes to sit quietly and read on his own, right?

So I decided to blog about my awesome prank on my husband yesterday. Oh did I have him fooled! We are still trying to decide between 2 job offers right now. One in a small town in Ohio, the other in Cape Cod. The Cape sounds more exciting, but we would pay off more loan money in Ohio. Anyways... I sent him a text that said "Looks like it's Ohio, I guess we need the extra money". Below that was a picture of a positive pregnancy test (courtesy of Alli who still had the pic in her phone from when she sent it to her hubby while he was in Alaska). He called me back in like 2 seconds, a little freaked out, unsure of how it happened, and asking what made me think to take a pregnancy test! I am usually no good at this kind of lying but somehow I managed to keep my giggles inside and give some great made-up answers. Surprisingly, he took it better than I thought he would, though he did say, "Well I guess this is our last kid then!" after we talked about how close in age they would all be. I let the charade go on for about 5 minutes until I couldn't hold it in anymore! It was funny. I still can't believe he bought it on April Fool's Day!
