I love October, it is my favorite month of the year! Fall leaves, cool weather, Halloween, apple picking, etc, etc. It's all so much fun! Here are some pictures from the month.
The kids were able to pick pumpkins from Grandma & Grandpa Thompson's garden. They thought that was pretty special. We actually got so busy that we almost forgot to carve them though! The night before Halloween we remembered to do it about 15 minutes before bedtime. Needless to say it was a little rushed and not our most inventive jack-o-lantern. The boys were so funny because at first they were scared to stick their hands in the gooey pumpkin, especially Ty. They got over it though and helped clean it out.
Grandma Thompson threw a big Halloween bash for everyone. She went all out with games, crafts, and lots of creepy Halloween food. It was a lot of fun! Can you tell what Jordan and I were together?
We were "Peace & Quiet"
Trick or treating was a blast! Ty thought it was awesome and got pretty upset with us when we would try to have him skip a house here and there so that he didn't get too much candy. Especially if he saw his brother getting a pice of candy. He even remembers the candy more than Jackson and will point to the cupboard where it is and ask for a "pop" (lollipop).
Jordan did Jackson's face paint and hair.
At the beginning of the month I got to get away for a girls trip with my dad's side of the family. Each year my Grandma gets all of the girls together and we go to witch's night out at Gardner Village then we meet up in Park City the next day to shop at the outlets. It was a lot of fun! Thanks Grandma!
The next weekend Jordan got a little boys trip. He and his family went "deer hunting". I think that in reality they went camping and it just happened to coincide with the deer hunt. They set the camp up a few days early to make sure they got a good spot so we took the boys up one day to have a campfire and hangout. Poor Tyler was sick and just wanted to relax in his chair most of the time.
Grandma Lords and Jackson found a caterpillar at her house that they decided we should keep for a pet. The boys loved holding it and Jackson thought it was pretty cool when it made a cacoon. It took awhile (I thought maybe the boys had killed him shaking his box around checking on him all the time) but he finally turned into a cute little moth.
Trying to feed himself yogurt, what a mess!
Jumping in the huge leaf pile! As you can see, Tyler was not a fan.
First snowfall!
This is a picture Jackson drew of his Mom:)
Enjoying the fall weather! This was the first time they wore these shirts and I had to laugh when Jackson got all excited and told me he was mustard and Tyler was ketchup. I thought that was pretty clever of him:)
Every time Tyler sees me pull out the camera he gives me a huge smile and says, "cheese". He loves getting his picture taken unlike his brother.
