Lords' Family Reunion in Island Park
We had a great time spending 4 days in Island Park with most of my family. We were missing a few people though, Jordan being one of them. His anesthesia partner resigned so Jordan has been picking up a lot of extra on call time until they hire someone new. It's been a great blessing financially, but we sure missed him on our trip! I was grateful for all of the help my family gave me with my boys, it made it a lot easier on me! Especially since my mom did just about everything for Tyler. Those two are pretty much inseparable when they are together.
I always say Tyler copies everything his big brother does. Even in his sleep apparently.
Our first full day was the 4th of July and we had a blast spending it at Yellowstone. I thought my boys were going to be too young to really enjoy it but they loved the geysers and pools. Of course they especially loved just being with all of their family!
Can't be a Lords' trip without a crazy hat picture!
How do you get 9 grandkids to all pose together for a picture?....
Bribe them with ice cream of course!
Apparently my children are media deprived because they were the only ones who didn't know the "gummy bear" song. Don't worry though, their cousins quickly enraptured them with the weird youtube video and song.
Silly string war! Poor grandpa he was outnumbered 9 to 1.
Feeding the fish at Big Springs.
Grandma and Grandpa always had at LEAST one kid in their lap!
Playing in the puddles after a rainstorm one day.
That was awesome!
I think I want a bath!
Jackson loved the sparklers but Tyler was a little afraid and wouldn't hold one.
Somebody got into my mascara one day. We all got a little worried when we saw how well he applied it.
My mom and dad, they are truly the best ever!
Rafting the river. It was so fun! Jackson was in the other boat and I guess he and Alex totally fell in while leaning over to look at the fish. Luckily he thought it was funny not scary and Aaron was quick to pull him out!
After our trip to Island Park we went back to Utah and spent most of the rest of the month at my parents' house with Andrea and her kids since they stayed a couple more weeks. We had a blast and miss them already! I can't believe I didn't get any pictures with my sister, granted I try to avoid the camera when I am pregnant.
We went to Kangaroo Zoo one day, it was awesome! Tyler is much braver than his big brother. There was one blow up that was a HUGE slide. It was steep and went super fast! Tyler loved it and kept wanting to do it again. I had to bribe Jackson with a dollar to get him to try it once and that was enough for him:)
The big slide... I couldn't keep Ty from climbing up it!
Aaron and Katie have this awesome reservoir right by their house that we went to.
We dressed like cows on Chick Fil A day to get free lunch. The kids thought it was so funny! By the time we pulled cameras out they were already pulling off the ears and spots though.
Happy birthday Tyler! We made a fun breakfast, went swimming, and had some of the Thompson family over for a barbecue.
Tyler loves tractors and trucks so here is the easiest cake I have made yet! He loved it, especially the "rocks" on it.
A few days before his b-day Ty started asking to use the potty! I have had no intentions of potty training him before the baby comes so I'm still not sure what to do! We've tried a couple of days in underwear and he is perfect with #1. After one #2 accident though I decided to try and wait a little longer. I do not want to be cleaning that up in a new house! I'm just afraid we might miss a good window here. Any advice?

Tyler turned 2!!!! I can't believe it! Tyler is one of the sweetest kids you will ever meet! He loves to snuggle and give loves, is quick to help me out, and absolutely adores his big brother. He is starting to talk really well and use full sentences. He also loves to sing! He is pretty brave and thinks he is as big as Jackson. He is becoming quite independent and loves to do things by himself. He gets quite upset when we try to help him if he hasn't asked for our help! We are so proud of you Tyler, we love you!!!
2 Year Old Stats:
27 lbs, 37%
34.5 in, 52%
Head circumference, 82% (Yup, he's a Thompson!)
My parents and sister came down to celebrate the day before Ty's bday. He loves his police man wiggle car from them and now the boys don't have to share!

Max was afraid of going #2. I didn't know that was the issue. My friend suggested having him sit on the toilet backward (facing the wall) and he wasn't as scared of falling in and would do it.
