Swimming Lessons
Jackson went to swimming lessons for the first time. He was really nervous before the first day and kept telling me he didn't want to go because he was afraid he would sink. The first few days I had to bribe him to go, even though he always liked it once he got there, especially since he was in the same class as Avery. He improved by the end and was much less timid in the water, but we decided he needed another session of lessons so we signed him up again for August.
Camping and Fishing at Fish Lake
The boys were super excited to sleep in a tent! We have always slept in Grandma and Grandpa Thompson's camper or trailor in the past, so this was Tyler's first time in a tent and Jackson's second. The first time Jordan tried taking Jackson camping in a tent was in Pittsburgh at a Fathers and Sons camp out and he was terrified of it! They loved it though and slept great!
The next day we went fishing and caught all 8 fish our permits would allow for. Jackson had a blast fishing with dad and grandpa while Tyler and I mostly relaxed and watched. The boys loved touching the fish and watching Jordan and Lee clean them afterwards.
An afternoon at Lake Hill
We took the boys up fishing and cooked some foil dinners. We had fun but didn't catch a single fish!
Dinosaur Dig
I finally caved and joined facebook so that I could open a pinterest account. I love pinterest and have found so many yummy recipes and fun activities to do with the boys. Here they are one afternoon digging up dinosaurs in our back yard. They thought it was pretty awesome. Jordan did a good job of burying them... there is still a missing dinosaur out there somewhere!
Enjoying the pool and slip n slide!
We've used our pool a lot this summer but we don't have grass yet for the slip n slide. Grandma let us come over one day and use hers though and the boys loved it!
A new pet!
That's right, we are cat people. Jordan and I never thought it would happen, we both have previously said we hate cats. But look at her, how darn cute is she?? We got little Andi (Jackson named her) when she was 9 weeks old. We thought it would be a good idea to have an outdoor cat around to keep out mice since we live by so many fields. She is definitely more of a pet than a mouser though- not that we've seen any mice yet. The boys love her and she is so good with them and lets them carry her everywhere. Even Jordan is attached, though I'm sure he would deny it if asked. He made her a great little cat house with scraps from our house and even gives her a weekly bath.
Silly boys!
Trying out the new big boy bed!
I was pretty nervous about it, but we decided to switch Ty to a big boy bed. He did awesome! He stayed in it for bedtime and naptime right from the start. It was seriously the easiest transition ever! Thank you Tyler!
T-Ball
Jackson played T-ball this summer and had a blast! He was so cute to watch! For such a young player, he took the game quite seriously:) His favorite position was being the catcher!
Tyler got a little bored watching... poor kid thinks he is as big as Jackson and wanted to play.

I love all the pictures! I can't believe you have a cat! I wouldn't have pegged you for cat people either! You look good! I want to see a belly picture!
Your family has done a lot of fun things this year. It was fun to see those posts.
